Paolini sorry: "I'm sad for Madison (Keys)".

Jasmine Paolini qualified for the Wimbledon quarter-finals on Sunday, but not in the way she'd hoped. The Italian was 5-2 down in the 3rd set when Madison Keys injured her left thigh. The American served twice to win the match, but to no avail. She was no longer able to move normally and finally had to give up at 5-5.

Paolini seemed lost in emotion after the match, happy to get on with her career but sorry to do it this way. This is what she explained in her post-match interview.

Jasmine Paolini: "Right now, I'm really sorry for Madison (Keys). It's sad to end the match like that. I think we played a really good match. It was a tough one. A lot of ups and downs. I'm a bit happy, but also sad for her. It's not easy to win like that."
