Federer was past his prime and had taken to a higher risk game of backing off his first serve and getting more in and ending points as quickly as possible by hitting a winner. So that gave Djokovic, who has won of the best ROS in the history of tennis, a slight advantage. Federer played a remarkable game for someone past his prime and on his way out. Most favored Djokovic to win and he did. So no big surprise.

He will not end up with anywhere near that much after taxes and such. However, I've read that the winner of a single major can make as much as $10 to $20 million long term on endorsements, paid speeches and appearances, etc.

M. Gehl, "big hole"??? I'm 99.9999% sure Vagnozzi didn't say that. You're always so negative towards world's #1. Jaloux? 😉
