....and I never f*cking accused you of not liking sam @happy...all I said was that he beat Andy plain and simple. Perhaps you pissed off someone else and they told you that lol it certainly wouldn't surprise me....
so you can quit crying to me about that bullsh*t too
were you born this stupid or did you just take lessons? im just curious, because I could probably eat a bowl of alphabet soup and sh*t out more intelligent comments than what you're saying lol surely you read all the other comments in this thread. 5 out of 6 think the injury is questionable. so why butt in on the conversation other than to start an argument? Stop being dumb & find another thread if you disagree with what's being said here. it's not your job to "defend" andy anyway lol
...and of course I saw the f*cking match! why else would I be commenting on it? I'm not a fake ass POS like andy or "mystified" crybaby like you.
so I'm sorry for pushing your buttons, ok.... I was just looking for the one that says "mute" lol ...and if you still have a problem with me, just take it up with my ass because that's the only part of me that gives a crap.
Andy dint say hez fully fit to enter Wimbledon.... He told he ll play in pain.... But after 2-3 matches he said hez 100%.... But ya injury can happen in d middle of d match also....
Sure, get back to me when you've spoken to Andy's medical team personally, shadowgirl. Did you see the match from beginning to end? I did. You would have to be blind to watch the last two sets and not see he was injured. No commentator I heard has been unprofessional enough to "joke about the phantom hip injury" because it's plainly real.
Injuries and pain can be managed with various treatments and Andy must have felt fit enough to enter Wimbledon, but when they're putting their bodies through so much strenuous activity it's bound to exacerbate it, and Novak and Andy's injuries unfortunately both got the better of them in the middle of their matches.
And no, I'm not discrediting Querrey's performance by standing up for Murray. Why is it so many users here think you automatically hate the opponent of a player you support, it's ridiculously childish. I *like* Querrey ffs, and he was playing great.
Don't worry, I know you enjoy playing devil's advocate. I notice you didn't answer my first response to you, but don't worry about it. "Just saying." :)
everyone, including the commentators, has been joking about the phantom hip injury, and andy was playing better than he's played in months! He said himself at the start of the tournament that the hip was fine. sam's just on a hot streak and took him out, plain and simple. He did the same thing to Rafa in Acapulco. I didn't like it either but I accepted it.
Shadowgirl, what's lame? Novak and Andy were both injured and their injuries affected how they played - correct or incorrect?
I have no argument save that it's deluded to say Querrey beat a fully fit player any more than Berdych did. If anything I'm just mystified by anyone who saw the whole match and still discredits Andy by claiming he was fully fit.
Vismai, to be fair you can't judge a player's fitness through a whole match from a 55 second clip of one point that doesn't even show him close up... I watched every minute of that match, so trust me when I say it was clear to see the pain in his face and his performance deteriorate as it went on.
I don't know what specific injury Andy has, I can only say I've had hip problems involving a lot of pain most of my life and I'm not much older than him. I can run and move however I want, sure, but it hurts like hell and certain movements trigger it more than others. Not all injuries stop you moving completely. Physical injury and pain is never "simple as that".
Running this much wen u r injured can't b digested.... And d way novak was hitting with elbow injury was different..... He dint hit it like usual in d tiebreaker and d set after tat.... If u r injured u cant run this much for a point.... As simple as tat... Even I thought andy was injured but after seeing this video I felt injury was just an excuse
In the same way that Novak was hitting through the pain in his shoulder and elbow yesterday, Andy was running through the pain; there were a lot of shots he couldn't even try to reach when it involved pushing off with his injured hip, where usually he would be chasing and returning them. They didn't show Andy's face after this shot, and at this stage in the match the pain was so clear in his expression after points that it was uncomfortable to see.
Not taking anything away from Querrey, after the 1st set he certainly upped his game and played very well to win, but don't belittle Andy by claiming he wasn't actually injured and it didn't affect the result - just watch the footage of his face grimacing after points in the last two sets or when he tried to put pressure on that leg to move quickly. The physical pain was obvious.
That's how exceptionally well Sam played. He won because he outplayed Andy fair and square not because Andy was injured. I sure hope he can beat Cilic in the semi's. I want to see a Querrey / Federer final. I won't mind too much if Roger losses to Sam. ;)
