Zverev justifies his participation in Buenos Aires: I want to win the French Open.

Alexander Zverev takes part in clay-court tournaments for the first time in February. He plays this week in Buenos Aires and will be in Rio de Janeiro the following week.

He justified his choice: "It's no secret that my main objective is the French Open. I want to perform well at Grand Slam tournaments.

I want to get started on clay as soon as possible to find my rhythm on this surface."

Having qualified for the quarter-finals in Buenos Aires following his victory over Dusan Lajovic, he will face Francisco Cerundolo.
