Swiatek: "It would be easier if the season lasted 9 months instead of 11".
The length of the season for tennis players is a debate that comes up again and again, due to players' complaints.
Iga Swiatek also spoke out on the subject, during her appearance on the Tennis Insider Club podcast.
She says: "It would be easier if the season lasted 9 months and not 11.
You know, when I stay at home for a long time, I want to go somewhere, but the season is long.
It's hard to be motivated all the time. I think it's impossible, even if you have the highest goals.
You have to get used to this intensity.
So far, I have the impression that everything is going well, but I don't really understand how we got to this point where we have to compete for 11 months.
I have the feeling that a few years ago, everything was simpler.
But when you're in the top 5 and you don't get to play in Beijing, or the Billie Jean King Cup, people are disappointed.
And now, with these rules, it becomes impossible to make these decisions that seem simple."
