Forget on the Sinner and Swiatek cases: An absolute tragedy for those who are innocent.

The year 2024 was marked by the doping cases involving two of the biggest names in tennis today: Jannik Sinner and Iga Swiatek.

Following the positive tests of the two players, which turned out to be contaminations, reactions were obviously numerous.

For Tennis Actu, Guy Forget, former world No. 4, had this to say on the subject: "We have to fight these scourges with the utmost firmness. I always get the impression that there's a high degree of sophistication in testing.

You can find a sugar spoon in an Olympic swimming pool. There are so many players who can take polluted elements and unknowingly lead to positive tests.

It's an absolute tragedy for those who are innocent.

You can say to yourself 'I'm going to be prevented from living my passion'. That's how I see it for Halep, Swiatek and Sinner.

The problem is that there can't be two-tier rules. You can't suspend one player for a year and the other for three weeks."
