Alcaraz on the Djokovic-Murray collaboration: "Novak has found the right coach".
After a good 2024 season, Carlos Alcaraz is ready for the one to come. The Spaniard, who won two Grand Slams and the Indian Wells Masters 1000 this year, will be Jannik Sinner's main rival on the ATP circuit.
The 21-year-old is the player who has beaten the Italian the most this season, with three successes against the world number 1. Nevertheless, Novak Djokovic will be a force to be reckoned with over the coming months.
The Serb, who won the Olympic Games this summer, will be coming back hungrier than ever in his quest for a 25th Grand Slam.
To this end, Djokovic has called on Andy Murray, who will be his coach at least until the Australian Open. A surprise collaboration that has caused quite a stir in the tennis world.
Carlos Alcaraz has reacted to the association between these two great names in tennis in recent hours.
"Novak has found the right coach. It's as if they're preparing to play against each other, but I think it's going to be incredible for tennis," he commented on the sidelines of the Garden Cup.
This is an exhibition tournament taking place in the United States in a few days' time. On this occasion, the Spaniard will face Ben Shelton at Madison Square Garden.
