New ATP 500 rule modifies financial bonuses
Financial bonuses are awarded to the most successful players in the ATP 500.
In 2025, players will have to play at least five tournaments in this category, compared with four previously. The Monte-Carlo tournament is counted among these five tournaments.
The total amount of bonuses will also increase: in 2024, $1,340,000 was shared between the five best-performing players (Arthur Fils, leader of the rankings, won $615,000).
In 2025, six players will share 2,100,000 dollars, with the first player winning 1,000,000 dollars.
To qualify for these bonuses, players will also need to target specific tournaments, grouped into categories (see tweet below).
If a player in the top 6 has not played in five tournaments, or has not fulfilled one of the three categories, 25% will be deducted from his financial bonus.
