When asked about this, Wawrinka made no secret of his satisfaction: "I'm incredibly grateful to have received a wildcard for the Australian Open in 2025. Melbourne holds a special place in my heart. It's where I won my first Grand Slam and it's one of the greatest milestones in my career.
