Another setback for Daniil Medvedev, who is still chasing a title since Rome in 2023.
The Russian, despite being the favorite in this semi-final against Hamad Medjedovic, ranked 96th in the world, never got into his stride and was soundly defeated in two sets (6-3, 6-2) in just 1h11 of play.
A defeat that confirms the world No. 8's difficulties in regaining the level that enabled him to reach several Grand Slam finals and the position of world No. 1.
In the final, Medjedovic will face defending champion Ugo Humbert, who had no difficulty in defeating Zizou Bergs (6-4, 6-4), breaking at the end of each set.
The Serb will certainly face a tough task in tomorrow's final, as the French No.1 has won 17 of his last 18 indoor matches in France.
