Fils qualifies for the third round of the Australian Open by beating Halys

In a match severely disrupted by rain and interruptions to play, Arthur Fils beat compatriot Quentin Halys 6-3, 4-6, 7-6, 7-5 at the Australian Open.

Despite Halys' good serving form, with 24 aces, Fils managed to break his serve on three occasions.

He will face the winner of the match between Ugo Humbert and Hady Habib in the third round.
