Sock reflects on the Australian Open final: "Sinner was unflappable".

Last Sunday, Jannik Sinner won the Australian Open for the second time in a row.
After toppling Daniil Medvedev last year, the Italian dominated Alexander Zverev without breaking a sweat this time (6-3, 7-6, 6-3).
This is the third Grand Slam final lost by the German, following his previous failures at the US Open 2020 and Roland Garros 2024.
In Nothing Major Podcast, Jack Sock reflected on the Melbourne final: "It was the first time I thought Zverev really had a chance of winning this kind of tournament.
I watched a good part of the final. It was the first time you got the impression that he was genuinely sad not to have won.
For a guy who's one of the calmest around, most of the time, nothing disturbs him too much. But here, he started complaining about his tension in the middle of the first set, and then the situation escalated.
With the new balls, I feel like he missed a few things and it went to his head. We didn't feel that he was concentrating as he usually does.
He didn't feel he had a chance of winning in the first set. On the other side, Sinner was unflappable. The way he hits the ball and moves around the court is really interesting to watch.
Sascha will probably be in a position to win a Grand Slam title again, but in this defeat, we felt he was destabilized from the very first game", concluded the American.
