Sinner on Zverev: "Keep believing in yourself because I believe you'll soon be able to lift one of these trophies".
Jannik Sinner proved unstoppable against Alexander Zverev, winning the Australian Open final in three sets.
At the trophy ceremony, the Italian had kind words for his opponent, and is convinced that he will finally win his first Grand Slam.
He said: "I'll start with Sascha. Another tough day for you, your team and your family.
You're an incredible player, keep believing in yourself because I believe you'll soon be able to lift one of these trophies.
As far as my team is concerned, we've worked very hard to get back to this position. It's great to accomplish all this and share it with you.
For me, this is the most special Grand Slam. Craig Tiley, the manager, does everything to make us feel at home.
And you, the public, have encouraged me, already the week before at training, so thank you very much, I'll see you next year."
