ATP Barcelona: Two-time tournament winner Alcaraz to return to Catalonia in 2025
Good news for all tennis fans in Spain.
During the spring of 2025, current world number 3 Carlos Alcaraz will be fine-tuning his preparations for the French Open (of which he is the defending champion) at the ATP 500 tournament in Barcelona.
The 21-year-old won the Catalan event in 2022 and 2023, and will be aiming for a hat-trick of titles on his favorite surface.
On its website, the organization confirmed the news: "Carlos is a unique player. He has exceptional qualities that allow him to dominate a point against any player and make him different from the others.
He still has a whole career ahead of him to improve and develop his potential.
There's no doubt that he'll be one of the players to dominate the circuit in the coming years," said tournament director David Ferrer, who was also Carlos' Davis Cup captain.
See you at the Barcelona tournament, April 12-20, 2025.
