WTA rankings: Sabalenka takes a narrow lead over Swiatek, Keys and Badosa return to the Top 10

After the 2025 Australian Open was won by Madison Keys in the women's category, the WTA rankings underwent a number of changes on Monday.

Despite her defeat in the final, Aryna Sabalenka retains her position as world No.1, 186 points ahead of her rival Iga Swiatek.

Behind her, Elena Rybakina climbs two places to world no. 5. Madison Keys, thanks to her title, moves up from 14th to 7th in the WTA rankings, equalling her career-best.

Paula Badosa returns to the Top 10 at No.10 after reaching the quarter-finals in Melbourne.

Away from the world's top spots, Yulia Putintseva enters the Top 20 for the first time in her career at 20th.

Naomi Osaka continues to climb the rankings, moving up to 42nd, while Belinda Bencic, who reached the last 16 at the Australian Open, moved up 137 places to 157th this week.

Last but not least, Olga Danilovic enters the Top 50 with a leap of 14 places to 38th in the world.
