Video - Cobolli wins a point after a fall in the middle of a rally in Rotterdam
The Rotterdam ATP 500 tournament kicks off on Monday. While awaiting the start of the tournament for favorites Carlos Alcaraz and Daniil Medvedev, the first match of the day pitted Flavio Cobolli against Hubert Hurkacz, seeded number 8 in the Netherlands.
Although the Pole won in two short sets (6-3, 6-2), the best point of the match went to the Italian.
After serving well from outside the court, Cobolli dropped a backhand shot. Luckily, the depth of his ball on the shot hampered Hurkacz, who was only able to return to a defensive position.
Soon back on his feet, Flavio Cobolli was able to finish the point with a winning forehand.
This event did not change the dynamic of the match, and Hurkacz, the first player in the draw to confirm his place in the second round, now awaits the winner of the match between Lehecka and Popyrin.
