Kyrgios makes his case: Having two world No. 1s caught doping is disgusting for our sport.

Nick Kyrgios arrived in Brisbane this Saturday ahead of the start of the ATP 250, where he will return to competition after an absence of almost two years.

Speaking to reporters at a press conference, the Australian returned to the subject of the many comments he made about Jannik Sinner and Iga Swiatek, both of whom tested positive this year:

"I have to talk about it because I don't think enough people are talking about it.

I think people are trying to sweep it under the carpet and justify it.

Okay, he's world No. 1 (Sinner), he's an incredible tennis player. I've never said otherwise. I just think that everyone should be treated the same.

I think it's been treated horribly. Two world No. 1s convicted of doping is disgusting for our sport.

Everybody knows about the integrity of tennis at the moment, but nobody wants to talk about it. It's terrible. And it's not right.

I can throw my racket, get angry on the court, but that's nothing compared to cheating and taking performance-enhancing drugs.

So yes, I'm not going to shut up about it."

It will take more than Nick talking about doping to make him relevant.
