This Round of 16 match, a remake of the 2023 final, lived up to all its promises. In a match of insane intensity, Carlos Alcaraz had to work hard to dominate an excellent Jan-Lennard Struff (6-3, 6-7, 7-6). Faced with a player with an ultra-offensive, net-oriented style of play, the Spaniard found it hard to cope. It was really tough from the first point to the last. It was a great fight and it was difficult for me to manage my emotions... to manage some difficult moments in the match. Serving for the match was really difficult after leading 40-0. I'm really happy that in the end it didn't affect me, my game or my mentality. I just kept on fighting. That's all that matters. I have to say thank you to the people who supported me right up to the last point. I think they pushed me not to give up and to keep fighting.
