Alcaraz ousted by Jarry in Buenos Aires!

Le 18/02/2024 à 05h46 par Guillem Casulleras Punsa

Carlos Alcaraz will not play the final in Buenos Aires. The Spaniard, not yet fully acclimated to clay, was knocked out by Nicolas Jarry in the semi-finals on Saturday. A little too inconsistent, alternating spectacular winners and sometimes big mistakes, he lost 7/6(2), 6/3 in 1 hour and 55 minutes.

On the other side of the net, Jarry played a near-perfect match. Highly offensive, he was imperious at the net, ultra-punchy on the backhand and very solid on the important points. This is the biggest win of the Chilean's career. He will meet Argentina's Facundo Diaz Acosta in the final on Sunday.

Alcaraz needs to hire Cahill away from Sinner. Clearly the mentors he currently has haven’t figured out how coach him to being more consistent.
