Another huge disappointment for Rublev!
Andrey Rublev fell in the first round of the 2024 Wimbledon tournament on Tuesday. The Russian was beaten in almost three hours and four sets (6-4, 5-7, 6-2, 7-6) by Argentina's Francisco Comesana, ranked 122nd in the world, on the grass of Court n°2.
It was a huge disappointment for the current world no. 6, who had reached the quarter-finals last year, losing to Novak Djokovic (4-6, 6-1, 6-4, 6-3). He was thought to be back on track after his Madrid title, but the Russian has won just 3 of the 7 matches he has played since then.
