On his 18th birthday, Henry Bernet won the Junior Australian Open on Saturday, beating American Benjamin Willwerth (6-3, 6-4) in the final.

In doing so, he became the first Swiss player to win the junior title, after a masterful final and an equally impressive week in which he lost just one set in six matches.

Characterized by his one-handed backhand, Bernet had this to say about comparisons with Roger Federer: "I'm proud to have my name associated with his. I'm making my own way, and I know there will always be comparisons.

But they're not a problem for me, they're a source of motivation. I'd love to have a chat with Roger soon."
