Alexander Bublik, after a round of 16 exit at the Australian Open, appeared on the Russian podcast First&Red.

Winner of the Hong Kong tournament at the start of the season, the Kazakh has settled into the top 10, a status he will nevertheless have to confirm throughout the year.

Bublik also spoke about his Grand Slam ambitions, admitting he does not yet have the necessary resources to aim for such a goal, particularly physically:

"At the moment, I don't feel ready to win a Grand Slam, especially physically. I'd need to get stronger to string together three five-set matches.

I'd like to be able to win two consecutive five-set matches against top 5 players, but I'm 29 years old and I don't know how much longer I'll play. So I prefer to set simpler goals, like continuing to improve my game."
