Coco Gauff to Produce Two Tennis Documentaries Highlighting Fashion, Culture, and Legacy
The 22-year-old will produce two short documentaries as part of the Tennis Story series. One traces fashion evolution in tennis, the other honors Zina Garrison's career.
Coco Gauff continues her development off the court.
The American champion has announced her first projects with her production company iROC Media Group, created a few months ago, in collaboration with Tennis Channel.
The 22-year-old will produce two short documentaries as part of the Tennis Story series. The films, expected at the end of summer, aim to tell tennis from a different angle, highlighting its cultural influence.
The first project will focus on the evolution of fashion in tennis and the impact of certain iconic outfits over the years.
The second will revisit the career of Zina Garrison, a former American player (professional from 1982 to 1997), who reached a career-high ranking of No. 4 and serves as an inspiration for Gauff.
"Tennis Goes Beyond the Court"
For Coco Gauff, these documentaries are an opportunity to explore what defines her sport beyond results and trophies.
"I've always loved how tennis goes beyond the boundaries of the court and influences culture. That's exactly what drew me to these two stories.
Fashion has always been one of the greatest means of expression in this sport. I'm thrilled to explore how certain players and iconic moments have helped shape our view of tennis and ourselves.
Through these films, I hope to pay tribute to the people and cultural influences that have helped build tennis's identity and continue to write its future today," said the world No. 7.
