De Minaur to play US Open mixed doubles with fiancée Katie Boulter
Before the start of the Dubai tournament, Alex De Minaur spoke at a press conference about his plans to play mixed doubles at the US Open, whose format has been changed for the 2025 edition.
These changes have convinced the Australian to take part, as he plans to team up with his fiancée Katie Boulter :
"Personally, I really enjoy playing mixed doubles. So I think it will be fun to play with Katie.
If I look at my situation, there's now an opportunity to play mixed doubles. It's something I wouldn't have considered in previous years.
The way the competition is presented now encourages a lot more singles players to play it."
