Del Potro very emotional after his last match: A much more beautiful farewell than I had ever dreamed of.

Juan Martin Del Potro said his final farewell to tennis yesterday, beating Novak Djokovic in an exhibition match in Buenos Aires.

The match, which lasted around an hour and a half, brought together everything needed for Del Potro's farewell to be perfect: a former rival and friend on the other side of the net, atmosphere, smiles and a few epic points.

The former world No. 3 took time to digest his emotions before posting a message of thanks on his social networks today, accompanied by several photos of the match: "Thank you all for a farewell far more beautiful than I could have dreamed of".
