Draper savors: "I can't wait to see what happens next".

Jack Draper was the biggest surprise of the US Open.

The uninhibited Briton made it all the way to the semi-finals with great authority, before finally losing to eventual winner Sinner (7-5, 7-6, 6-2).

On the strength of his fine fortnight, he will be ranked 20th in the world this week, a first in his young career.

After a total loss of confidence just over a year ago, Draper has come a long way and is proud of it: "Top 20! I remember sitting on the sofa at home 14 months ago, watching the Wimbledon final.

I could see my ranking dropping outside the Top 100. My head was in the sand!

It just goes to show that consistent work and the right people around you can change everything!
