Federer wins for his return to competition after 13 months

Solid physically and very offensive, the Swissman just beat Evans in Doha.

Welcome back Fed, good win after such a long lay off.

It was very refreshing to see Fed today. We are yet to see ANY player of Fed's level of fineness. Djoko, Nadal, etc are all robots forcing their way through compared to Fed. No disrespect to them, just they don't compete in fineness, elegance and variety department. Yes, they win matches, but why would you care about winning only? This is just a game.

And just like that, Djokovic breaking the record stories were gone and replaced by Fed winning a first round match.

I love TT! 🤣

Fed Fan, yes, each goat has his beauty and strength for different reasons for tennis fans, and the mental strength, determination and power of a Novak and Nadal is just as fine and elegant as Fed's great abilities you mentioned.

Novak's athletic ability to get to most balls Fed and Nadal cannot get near to, him being the best returner ever, his consistency (311 weeks and counting....), Nadal's clay greatness, his lethal forehand, etc. are all things of tennis beauty and awe, things Fed lacks, but no disrespect to him also, he is a champion as is the two others, so yes, it is just a game and we can appreciate them all for their different reasons. We are very privileged to live in these times to see them all play.
