Novak Djokovic defeated Jaime Faria 6-1, 6-7, 6-3, 6-2 in the second round of the Australian Open on Wednesday.
The match set a record for the Serb: it was his 430th Grand Slam match.
He became the player to have played the most Grand Slam matches in the Open era.
He overtakes Roger Federer, who had 429, and third-placed Serena Williams, who had played 423 Grand Slam matches.
Rafael Nadal is fourth, with 358 matches. A new longevity record beaten by Djokovic, who never ceases to impress.
