Jessica Pegula spoke at a press conference after her three-set loss to Aryna Sabalenka in the US Open semifinals.

The American particularly regrets the final lost set, during which she conceded only 4 points on her serve and failed to convert any of her 4 break points.

She stated: "It was a very high-level match. I don't know what else to say. I don't know why I didn't break her in the third set. I played very good points to win the first set.

She raised her level and started serving better in the second. Then I felt it was very balanced in the third; there wasn't much difference. I felt like we were both serving pretty well.

She hit incredible shots, especially on break points. I didn't feel like she made a single mistake. The level seemed very high, and we pushed each other in every game.
