Medvedev beaten by Alcaraz: "I don't see how I could have beaten him".

Daniil Medvedev saw his path come to an end in the semi-finals in Beijing.

Up against an excellent Carlos Alcaraz, the Russian showed no signs of demerit, playing some top-level tennis, but still lost in two sets (7-5, 6-3).

Interviewed by the press, Medvedev declared: "It was a very difficult match, because I feel I played very well.

There were a lot of positive things for me, but it's very difficult to play against Carlos when he's at his best. I played well, but I lost.

It's not something that usually happens to me, but against the Top, it's something that can happen. There's not much more I can say.
