The former Italian tennis player was so impressed by the world number 1's 2024 season that he doesn't see many players capable of thwarting Sinner's plans over the coming months.
Speaking to Sky Sports Italia, the 73-year-old discussed the two-time Grand Slam winner's main rivals over the past year.
"Today, the only one who can counter him is Carlos Alcaraz. But the ATP rankings speak volumes about Jannik Sinner's recent results.
His year, in terms of points accumulated, is remarkable.
As for Daniil Medvedev, when he steps onto the court to face Sinner, he seems to be struggling to find the solutions to compete from now on.
