This time, it's here! In a few hours' time, the 2024 edition of Wimbledon will finally get underway with the first first-round duels. Among the 40 matches scheduled for Sunday, there are already a number of very interesting duels.

On the men's side, among the favorites, Alcaraz will face Lajal, Medvedev will face Kovacevic, Sinner will face Hanfmann, Dimitrov will face Lajovic, Ruud will face Bolt, Paul will face Martinez, Shelton will face Bellucci, and Bublik will face Mensik.

The first matches of several French players will also take place this Monday, as Monfils and Mannarino face off in a fratricidal duel, while Cazaux challenges Bergs, Janvier takes on Zhang, Muller faces Gaston and Humbert tries to hold his own against Shevchenko.

On the women's side, Gauff will face Dolehide, Sabalenka will face Bektas, Azarenka will face Stephens, Paolini will face Sorribes Tormo, Keys will face Trevisan, Zheng will face Sun, Sakkari will face Kessler, Andreeeva will face Fruhvirtova, Kasatkina will face Zhang and Badosa will face Muchhova.

Several Frenchwomen will also be in action, with Parry making her debut against Osaka, Gracheva against Tsurenko and Burel against Lys.

Matches start at 2.30pm on Center Court and Court 1, and at 12pm on the other courts. Enjoy Wimbledon, everyone!

As we move to the end of this month and also closing out the year I am wishing all of those following me a Merry Christmas and a Happy/Healthy New Year.

why did tennis tonic void predictions on the match between Chwalinska and Huergo at the Quito tournament? The match was played to completion and on time. If TT feels the match is one sided, and of course it was, then don't put it up for prediction. This is getting irritating.

The finals are here, and we scramble for the best finish. I've been chasing "King" all year and I was able to shrink the spread a little. Skelp is also closing the gap.
