Carlos Alcaraz surprised many at the Cincinnati tournament.

Known for his fair play and ability to hold his nerve, the Spaniard went off the rails.

Faced with an excellent Gaël Monfils, and plunged into a match where he was far from his best and where the playing conditions didn't suit him, Alcaraz cracked in the last set.

Having just been broken (4-6, 7-6, 3-1), the El Palmar native exploded his racket on the court. An uncharacteristic image.

Corentin Moutet had a few words to say on the subject. Without damning Alcaraz, the Frenchman was keen to point out the difference in reaction from one player to another.

Drawing on the commentator's reaction that "it was a positive thing and he desperately wanted to win the match", Moutet declared: "When it's me, we talk about mental problems.

I'm not judging Carlos here, of course. He's already a legend and he's behaving incredibly.

I don't care how different the commentator's reaction can be to the same gesture."

I am surprised about relatively low attendance at Roland Garros which was the most popular slam 20+ years ago. I myself love it as well as really loving aus and us opens. I don't care about Wimbledon, sometimes maybe I can watch women's tennis. I hate Wimbledon's white dress code, I feel like I am watching junior tennis...I watched very few matches like Graf davenport final in 1999 the last time.....

It will really be befitting if he attains his 25th Grand Slam crown at the AO for he's truly the GOAT & this will stamp him & endorse his GOAT status without an iota of doubt

Almost as important to Djokovic as Slam #25--and requiring less luck--is beating Federer's total of 103 singles titles. He'll play 250s, and might even surpass Connors's 109.
