Musetti is ready: "I'm playing the best tennis of my life".
Lorenzo Musetti has been in prodigious form for several weeks now.
Brilliant on grass, he has not missed his transition to clay and is enjoying a top-class Olympic Games. Having reached the semi-finals without losing a set, the Italian left-hander seems unstoppable.
On cloud nine, he mastered Alexander Zverev perfectly in the quarters (7-5, 7-5) and will now meet Novak Djokovic in the semi-finals this Friday, not before 7.00 pm.
When asked about his qualification, Musetti made no secret of his satisfaction: "I made very few mistakes and played every point as if it were my last. I exhausted him (Zverev) tactically and physically minute after minute.
I'm playing the best tennis of my life. I can win. I'm experiencing the best moment of my career, but not only in terms of the quality of my tennis.
It's about continuity, professionalism, endurance and competitiveness."
