After the Australian Open, Alexander Zverev heads off to South America in February, where he will play his clay-court tour starting with the ATP 250 Buenos Aires (February 8-16).
Barring a last-minute withdrawal, he will be the tournament's number 1 seed, ahead of Holger Rune, ranked 13th in the world, and Lorenzo Musetti, ranked 15th in the world.
The rest of the seeds are clay-court specialists: Alejandro Tabilo, Sebastian Baez, Francisco Cerundolo, Nicolas Jarry and Tomas Etcheverry.
The entry list also includes Joao Fonseca, who could be one of the tournament's outsiders.
Finally, this will be the last tournament in the professional career of Diego Schwartzman, former world No. 8, who will benefit from a wild-card entry into the main draw.
