The 1st round came to a close on Tuesday with a number of spectacular encounters and points.

Before moving on to tomorrow's 2nd round matches, the Australian Open YouTube account has put together a Top 5 of the day's finest points.

And there was plenty to go around, from Joao Fonseca's impressive defense of Andrey Rublev, Lorenzo Sonego's superb backhand against Stan Wawrinka, to Botic Van de Zandschulp's winning tweener on Rod Laver Arena.

I propose the following changes to the rules:

1...a walķover will not be a loss. We have no control of player's health. If he or she is entered in a contest we expect them to play.

2...an incomplete match is not a loss. If a player forfeits we pick another match if there are more to choose.

3...this also applies if TT cancels a match. TT will not take hours to decide an outcome.

It's a shame that so many matches are being canceled. TT ,you are destroying your game ,and thereby killing your app. I don't know how many matches others have had canceled , but I'm at 3 and it's only thursday.

why did tennis tonic void predictions on the match between Grenier and Hsu at the Kobe tournament? The match was played to completion and on time.

An impressive win.. Congrats to our winner this week, jimandlori958 and with a score that could not be caught or matched. I don't remember a 56 in a while with our group. Nice to see everyone using the 2 point predictions. Can't win without 'em.
