It's annoying how people keep saying he's faking it

What's wrong with putting down a religious tennis-based comment? Are you preaching absolutist secularism, Admin?

It's not his fault, it's not anyone's fault actually. People have been saying for 18 years that he fakes injury, nothing new!
They taunt, Rafa wins and life goes on!

Rafa has retired! This is sad for Taylor Fritz. It was a unwarranted effort to beat Taylor when Rafa knew deep down what exactly was happening to his body , that it would not be possible to continue playing. He shud have retired at that match & given Taylor the chance to progress to the semis.
He actually ruined Taylor's chances for nothing.

@Milutin It's almost exactly the same issue that Djokovic had in AO2021 and i dont remember seeing you commenting that Djokovic should shut up and play

He know he has no chance against Nick and Novak, that's is the reason he pull out. Do you think he want to pull out If the next player were easy meat.

Although I am not Nadal's fan, under his medical condition, he shouldn't play. He doesn't have anything to proof.

Milutin, let me get this straight, so every single time that Federer and Novak beat Nadal, Nadal was injured... Please, give me a break! Yes, he is probably the toughest mental player ever, the one with the most will to win, however, and I have said that before, he is far to be the most talent player. Even his own uncle has quoted that in several interviews. On my list, Fed, Novak and Nadal comes in third. In terms of numbers, stats, "at the end of the day", Novak should be the one with more slams, and most of the records.

He should have retired in the Fritz match.

😂 😂 😂 mechman611... What? Nadal was the only one who could beat K? Are you nuts? It is quite the opposite. Nadal was the least player that could beat K on grass. Nadal is a master player on clay, not on grass, I think you are mistaken him by Federer! And no, Nadal is not the Goat, he is just temporary holding the slam record. Btw, one was just handed to him by the AO. Nadal will end up as the second greatest player, he is used to be n. 2. 😂 He was behind Federer for 20 years, now he will be behind Novak too.

He's called a press conference. Looks nailed on that he'll pull out.

Nole was winning 2-0 and then he fell badly, and you can see that it affected his game, and he lost two sets after that.
On the other hand, Rafa was losing from start of the match till the fifth set. And it seemed a lot different case. And we all know that Rafa was injured on every match that he lost in previous year and a half. And there is no match where he lost and said "I am not injured"

Yvette, that's not Nadal's spirit... He would never "give a match away", he understands the importance of psychology in this game. Even if he knew he couldn't play the next one, he wouldn't give it up. It's all part of the "psychological war game" among players. Tennis is extremely mental, Nadal has lost Indian Well to Fritz, so he needed to show Fritz that it won't be easy to beat him again. And they can meet many times during the circuit, that's why it is important to put some doubts in your adversary's mind.

He owed Fritz nothing! So SaintA I will tell you the difference. Rafa is injured and pulled out because it is to difficult to play with a real abdominal injury. Joker only played better after announcing his and yes, as you know, I’m in the medical field and that just doesn’t happen. UNLESS, there was no real injury.

😂 "I am in the medical field"... 😂 So what? What a dumb phrase!" I have played under injuries many times, sometimes I'd start the match and the pain was "manageable", after a few games I'd few more relaxed and the pain would be gone. Now, the next day was a different story, my body would "punish" me badly. But, I don't have access to a big team of recovery like these pros do. So there is no reason to doubt Novak's claims. Yes, it can happen the way he described. Btw, in the pro level, the players almost always play under some pain or minor injury, this is pretty common.

Csekarhere, please tell us what you remember then....from AO2021?

Do you remember all those "medical experts" at that time?
None of them is here now!
csekarhere
@sathish True, he has been questioned all along unfairly

@saintadam

I always said that Djokovic was injured and never questioned him. Two wrongs don't make a right
SaintAdam
Csekarhere, it's hard to hear, or remember the voice of reason, from all those hateful screams!

And "making right" it's exactly what I'm trying to do. :)
Sathish
What you're trying to make right? Saint
Trying to balance by doing the same!
George Stavrinides
He's on a mission this year. It's like he's possessed. He wants to win everything. It's as if this is the last year of his tennis career
SaintAdam
Here, in Heaven, we say "if someone throws stones at you, throw back bread".

Since we already eat all the bread, I'm just returning those same stones to the senders.....we have so many! :)

Waiting for his press conference tonight ,so looks unkikely that he will play
