To everyone's surprise, Jannik Sinner parted ways yesterday with Marco Panichi (physical trainer) and Ulises Badio (physiotherapist), two team members who had joined his camp in September 2024.

Despite the world No. 1's convincing results, the decision was made just before the start of Wimbledon, which surprised many observers. Speaking to the press on Saturday, Sinner explained these two departures:

"Nothing major happened. They did excellent work, especially over the last three months. After Halle, I wanted something different. And, you know, sometimes things happen. Like with everything else. Of course, the timing is far from ideal. But since we worked ahead, it doesn’t really affect this Grand Slam."

"As I said, nothing particular happened. It’s just that sometimes a player feels somewhat different, and that’s the case for me. We achieved great things together, and I thank them for that. Now, I feel good physically and mentally. I’m eager to get on court."

When asked about their potential replacements, the three-time Grand Slam winner chose to sidestep the question: "There are many options, but now is not the right time to think about it.
