Paolini: "Mirra (Andreeva) is already a great player".
Jasmine Paolini takes on Mirra Andreeva this Thursday in the semi-finals of the French Open. The 28-year-old Italian is obviously expecting a big battle at this stage of the competition. All the more so as she already considers the Russian a great player despite her young age (17). As she explained in her press conference.
Jasmine Paolini: "With Mirra (Andreeva) it's going to be a tough match. I played against her in Madrid and... she's already a great player. She's so young, but she's so strong mentally and she can defend very well. She can serve very well.
So it's going to be a complicated match. But we're in the semi-finals, so there's no chance of any easy matches (laughs)."
