Jessica Pegula is on a roll.

She's off to a blistering start on her American tour.

After successfully defending her title in Toronto last week, the current world number 6 has not stopped there.

In Cincinnati, she suffered at times, but came through every time.

After emerging victorious from an immense battle against Fernandez in the quarter-finals (7-5, 6-7, 7-6 in 3:05), Pegula mastered a Badosa who continued to confirm her comeback in the semi-finals (6-2, 3-6, 6-3).

Irresistible, she reaches the final where, in order to complete an incredible double, she will try to get the better of a Sabalenka who has also been in fine form this week.

Despite top-10 ATP rankings and consistent excellence, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, Gaël Monfils, Richard Gasquet, and Gilles Simon never claimed a Grand Slam title, enduring mockery from French media amid Big 3 dominance. A deep dive into a talented generation defined by sky-high expectations and brutal competition.

As much as I love watching Alcaraz at his best, I'd love to see Alex taking this, he's such a tryer, and getting married and his humour and humility...

Favoritism?

Last year: Sinner seed 1, the organizers schedule Alcaraz on day 1, Sinner on day 2.

This year: Alcaraz seed 1, the organizers schedule Alcaraz on day 1, Sinner on day 3.

That means: 7 matches in 15 days for Alcaraz, 7 in 13 days for Sinner; and no rest day for Sinner between quarter and semis, 1 full day rest for Alcaraz.

Also, on the first very hot day, the organizers schedule Sinner...
