Roddick fan of Paolini: "It's a real breath of fresh air for the tennis world".
Jasmine Paolini has been one of the revelations of the WTA Tour this season.
The Italian reached 4ᵉ in the world rankings and played in the WTA Finals after playing her first two Grand Slam finals, at Roland-Garros and then Wimbledon.
She also won, at 28, her first Masters 1000 title in Dubai in February.
In his podcast, Andy Roddick reflects on Paolini's season.
"What a year for Jasmine Paolini! Raise your hand if you had someone on your bingo card who had never finished a season in the top 25, and who reached two consecutive Grand Slam finals to find herself 4ᵉ world player at 28 or 29.
It's a real breath of fresh air for the tennis world. I don't care what she does in 2025. I don't even want to talk about it.
Nobody saw her progression coming. It's one of the best stories of 2024. She's the biggest surprise of the whole season in terms of her ranking. I've loved watching her play this year," praised Roddick.
