Sabalenka: "I just want to focus on the moment".

Le 19/08/2024 à 11h15 par Elio Valotto
Sabalenka: I just want to focus on the moment.

Aryna Sabalenka is rediscovering her best tennis. Carried along by her ever-aggressive strokes, the Belarusian is taking advantage of a much faster surface to dictate play this week.

Dominant in each of her matches, the world number 3 totally dominated Iga Swiatek in the semi-finals (6-3, 6-3) and will attempt to claim the title this Monday against Pegula in the final.

When asked about her success, Sabalenka didn't want to dwell on the subject too much in the press conference: "This success will give me a lot of confidence for the US Open. But it's already in the past.

If I have to concentrate on this victory, I'll stay in the past. I'm really happy with this win. It was a brilliant performance on my part.

But I just want to focus on the moment and give my best every time I'm on the court.

I try to stay calm, confident and aggressive on the court ."
