Sabalenka: "Yes, my coach puts money on the table in training".

Sabalenka: Yes, my coach puts money on the table in training.

Aryna Sabalenka confirmed in a press conference that her coach has an unusual method of trying to simulate the pressure of an official match during practice matches. He puts money on the line to stimulate the world no. 2 and her training partner.

Aryna Sabalenka:
"Yes, my coach puts money on the line when we play a set or match with my training partner. It's usually a pretty decent amount of money. Your coach's money is the sweetest money.

I once lost 5,000 euros. Last time, I won and was very happy to see how peaceful my playing partner was. Honestly, it helped me to try to put as much pressure as possible on the practice court and try to work it out.

I think that's a good thing, especially when you're winning so much money and not losing. We try to simulate as much pressure as possible on the practice court."
