Should Venus Williams retire?

Should Venus Williams retire?

Having played just one match this season and now ranked 532nd in the world, the case of Venus Williams is beginning to raise questions.

At the age of 44, many find it incomprehensible that the American has chosen to continue against all odds, especially when she is depriving young talent of an invitation.

On this subject, Rick Macci, coach of the Williams sisters as well as Sharapova and Roddick, declared: "Venus should play as long as she wants. That's her decision.

However she plays, good or bad, however she feels, happy, sad or angry at the end of the day, it's her choice to play."

I think that she can play as long as she wants. Period. Just STOP asking for WC,

She’s not playing anything at present, thought we’d see her on the grass or the American swing. Not a peep. So no wild cards taken.

And frankly beat Kudermetova , Giorgi, and almost beat Ostapenko and Qinwen Zheng too in just the 4 odd tournaments she played.
