Sinner already one set away from US Open title

The final of this 2024 edition of the US Open is not the most exciting of the century.
On an Arthur Ashe Stadium condemned to silence, Jannik Sinner controlled the proceedings with great authority against a Taylor Fritz without a solution (6-3, 6-4 in 1h17).
Committing almost no unforced errors, the world number 1 largely dictated play, giving the almost resigned American no breathing space.
Biding his time, he broke at the right moment to take off and move within a set of the title.
With his back against the wall more than ever, Fritz will have to pull off one of the feats of the decade if he is to win this US Open.
