Sinner holds his nerve to join Alcaraz in the final

The final that everyone has been hoping and praying for will indeed take place.

Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz, the two major players of the 2024 season, will face off in the final of the ATP 500 in Beijing.

After Carlos Alcaraz's victory earlier in the day, this time it was Jannik Sinner who confirmed his place in the final.

Faced with the tournament's sensation, the young Chinese Yunchaokete Bu, the Italian seemed to be in trouble at times, but nevertheless secured the essential victory in two sets (6-3, 7-6).

After a well-played first set, the world number 1 had more trouble, failing to hit break points and committing more errors than usual (38).

Far from panicking, the Transalpine waited for his moment to qualify, in complete control.

In the final, he will meet a certain Carlos Alcaraz in a match that already has the smell of gunpowder.
