Sinner in the Cincinnati final after a great battle with Zverev!

Jannik Sinner has just qualified for the Cincinnati final after a monumental three-hour battle with Alexander Zverev on Center Court. The Italian won in three sets (7-6[9], 5-7, 7-6[4]) despite once again being hampered by his painful hip. But he managed to find a way through.

For the German, on the other hand, this defeat was a missed opportunity, as he regularly seemed to be in a position to take control of the match. But he failed to show sufficient strength in the important moments. The world no. 1's cry after the match point spoke volumes about his relief at having managed to escape his opponent's trap.

In the final, Sinner meets the winner of the match between Holger Rune and Frances Tiafoe.
