Troicki on Djokovic's incident with Australian TV: "I think they're treating Novak worse and worse"
Viktor Troicki, coach of the Serbian Davis Cup team, reflects on the incident between Novak Djokovic and Channel Nine.
As a reminder, a Channel Nine journalist had mocked Serbian fans and ironically said that Djokovic should retire.
He also referred to the fans in Australia who had whistled at him after his withdrawal from the tournament against Alexander Zverev.
"If I'd hired that journalist, I'd have fired him immediately. He'd never work in sport again.
I think they're treating Novak worse and worse. It's surprising and disappointing to see the greatest player of all time being subjected to so many bad things again in Australia.
After COVID and what they did to him a few years ago, it's never the same again.
They boo him in the audience, which wasn't the case before in Australia. I think before, they admired his results more and greeted the champion with more respect."
