Mirra Andreeva had a tough day in Brisbane. The 18-year-old Russian fell in the quarterfinals to a solid Marta Kostyuk (7-6, 6-3) and will not play in the semifinals in her first tournament of the year.

In this match against the Ukrainian, the world No. 9 experienced an unusual situation that made the entire Brisbane center court burst into laughter.

Train horn interrupts Andreeva twice in a row against Kostyuk

Indeed, as the Russian was about to serve, a train near the Brisbane complex sounded its horn for the first time. After taking a few seconds to breathe and refocus, Andreeva tried again, but once more, the horn echoed.

The player herself, her opponent, and the chair umpire couldn't help but smile (see video below). A particularly unlucky double timing for Andreeva, while Kostyuk indeed took the train to the semifinals, where she will face Jessica Pegula this Saturday.
