Tennis rackets are sometimes abused by tennis players, often out of anger. However, accidents do happen.

Such was the case for Alexander Shevchenko, who, while serving, saw his racket slip out of his hand and break in two as he fell.

The cause, no doubt, was the humidity in Delray Beach, Florida. Fortunately for the Kazakh, his serve was out of the box, so he was allowed a second ball.

In the end, he lost to Michael Mmoh 7-5, 7-6.
